SEVEN STEPS TO A LIFE OF ALL POWER

How do we measure a life of all power? Whom can we use as an example? Could we use Bill Gates who (in 2011) possesses over 59 billion dollars? That is 59 followed by nine zeros ($59,000,000,000). Most people in our world don’t even have one millionth of his fortune. Could we use the Apostle Peter who said “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” Acts 3:6.

"If your name is on the building, you're rich; If your name is on your desk, you’re middle-class; if your name is on your shirt, you’re poor.” -- Quote from the Reader’s Digest. The apostle Peter probably never had his name on his shirt, desk, or on a building but He has His name on the foundations of the capital city of the Universe, New Jerusalem. Therefore using the quote from the Reader’s Digest I would have to say that poor Peter was far richer than any billionaire that has ever lived.

John saw "New Jerusalem" in vision, “descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal. . . Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.” Revelation 21:11-14. So if I were to judge a person’s success by where they had their name (shirt, desk or building) I would have to judge the 12 apostles as the ones who possessed the greatest “LIVES OF ALL POWER!” And yet in worldly wealth they did not appear successful or powerful.

Power and Success in this world are a mirage! What often appears to us as “LIVES OF ALL POWER” are merely temporary achievements. Christ says, “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal;but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19-21.

What kind of “Life of all Power” does Christ promise His followers? He promises to send angels to watch over us and protect us. Psalm 34:7; Psalm 91; He forgives our sins and gives us clean hearts 1 John 1:7-9; Ezekiel 36:26. He walks with us, talks with us, and answers our prayers. Jeremiah 33:3; Matthew 7:7. He gives us His Spirit, filling our lives with His power. Luke 11:13; Acts 1:8; 6:8. He takes away the fear of death and assures us that He will raise us up to everlasting joy and power that will last forever. 1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17. He will live with us (Revelation 21:3. We will never become bored because He will give us “pleasures forevermore.” "Seven Steps,” these “Seven Secrets of a Life of All Power”

Psalm 16:11.

We will never die again, never be sick again, never need an operation again, never hunger or thirst again. Revelation 21:4; 22:3; 7:16; Isaiah 33:24; 65:23. We will be physically whole forever! The deaf will hear, the blind will see, the dumb will sing and the lame will run. Isaiah 35:5, 6; Philippians 3:21. We will never be afraid of violence. Isaiah 60:18. We will be reunited with loved ones in heaven. 1 Corinthians 13:12. We will have a home with Christ and sit with Him on His throne. John 14:1-3; Revelation 3:21. We will build house and plant gardens. Isaiah 65:22, 22. We will have the same strength and speed and power as the “angels of God in heaven. Matthew 22:30. These are but just a very few aspects of “A LIFE OF ALL POWER” that we receive as a gift from Christ when we learn and follow the principles of His kingdom that I have outlined here in these

SEVEN STEPS TO A LIFE OF ALL POWER!

STEP ONE - LEARN YOUR SPIRITUAL TEMPERATURE! Revelation 3:14-21.

STEP TWO - SPEND TIME WITH CHRIST - 2 Corinthians 3:18.

STEP THREE - "YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN!" John 3:3, 7.

STEP FOUR - “ABIDE” (WALK) WITH JESUS DAILY!- John 15:4.

STEP FIVE - HUNGER, THIRST, TALK, AND PRAY FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT! - Luke 11:5-13.

STEP SIX - PRAY DAILY WITH A PRAYER PARTNER! - Mark 6:7; Matthew 7:7.

STEP SEVEN - "GO" EXERCISE YOUR FAITH! - Matthew 28:18-20.

STEP ONE - LEARN YOUR SPIRITUAL TEMPERATURE! Revelation 3:14-21.

How can we be this type of “healthy” Christian? First we must find out whether we are “healthy” or not. When we go to the doctor’s office, what does the nurse stick in our mouths? She puts a thermometer in our mouths to check our temperature to determine whether we are healthy or sick. In like manner, God checks your spiritual temperature to see if you are sick or healthy. His thermometer, however, has only three readings. They are Hot, Cold, and Lukewarm. The only Spiritual temperature of these three that Christ accepts in the judgment is “HOT.” Both “COLD” and “LUKEWARM” are bad, but “lukewarm” is the worst! Christ speaks to the seventh and last of the seven church periods of Revelation chapters two and three in Revelation 3:14-21. Christ tells us in these verses how to “repent” from our mediocre lives and “Live A Life Of All Power!” Let’s examine Christ’s method of changing our mediocre lives into “Lives Of All Power!”

CHRIST SPEAKS TO MODERN CHRISTIANS - Christ speaks to Modern Christianity (YOU AND ME) about our Spiritual health. He tells us that He wants us to be repent and become “HOT” “ZEALOUS Christians

He says to the people of this generation:

1. "You are Lukewarm!"

2. "You say 'I am rich and have need of nothing!"

3. "You do not know that you are . . .Poor, Blind and Naked!"

4. "Buy from Me gold . . . That you may be rich, and White Garments, that you may be clothed!"

5. "Be Zealous and Repent!"

6. "Open the door" and I will come in to" you and "dine with" you, and you "with Me."

7. If you "overcome" "I will grant" you "to sit with me on My Throne."

STEP TWO - SPEND TIME WITH CHRIST!

“It would be well for us to SPEND a thoughtful hour each day in contemplation of the life of Christ. We should take it point by point, and let the imagination grasp each scene, especially the closing ones." Desire of Ages, page 83.

If you have been living your life without SPENDING a thoughtful hour a day studying the life of Christ, God is calling you and me to repent and begin studying His life every day!

Christ says "BUY from Me gold . . . and white garments . . . be zealous and repent." Why does Christ tell us to "buy" when salvation is FREE? With what can we "buy" His gold of Love and His robe of righteousness? In order to "buy" we must spend! Of what does Christ want us to "SPEND?"

1. Christ commands us to "Be Zealous and Repent" - (Revelation 3:19.

If you are not “zealous” for Christ you must repent. Christ speaks of the wise and foolish Christians waiting for His second coming in Matthew 25:1-13. Instead of using the word Christian He uses the word “virgin,” referring the their “pure” faith. One of the differences between the foolish, who are ultimately lost and the wise, who ultimately live forever, is found in the command of Christ to the “lukewarm” comfortable Christians just before His second coming (see Revelation 3:14-21. He commands the comfortable “lukewarm” Christian church just before He returns to “be zealous and repent.” Christ values the attribute of zeal for sharing your faith with those around you. He commands that you care enough to warn and encourage everyone everywhere to choose Christ and eternal life. Below we read some wonderful ways to channel your zeal for Christ.

2. “If there is one work more important than another, it is that of getting our publications before the public, thus leading them to search the Scriptures. Missionary work—introducing our publications into families, conversing, and praying with and for them—is a good work.”— Christian Service, page 145.

3. “Christ came to this world to give this message to His servant to give to the churches. It is to be proclaimed to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people. How are we to give it? The distribution of our literature is one means by which the message is to be proclaimed. Let every believer scatter broadcast tracts and leaflets and books containing the message for this time.” Christian Service, page 145.

NOTE: “EVERY BELIEVER” means "every believer." The words, “EVERY BELIEVER” includes Conference officials, ministers, evangelists, physicians, Dentists and professional people. Do not ever think that God excludes you because you have other important duties. You are an example. Set a good example. God will judge each of us by the use we have made of our example and of our time.

4. “Papers and books are the Lord’s means of keeping the message for this time continually before the people. In enlightening and confirming souls in the truth, the publications will do a far greater work than can be accomplished by the ministry of the word alone.”— Christian Service, page 145.

5. “Let the books containing the light on present truth be placed before as many as possible. The presidents of our conferences and others in responsible positions have a duty to do in this matter.”— Christian Service, page 145.

6. “In a large degree, through our publishing houses is to be accomplished the work of that other angel who comes down from heaven with great power and who lightens the earth with his glory." Testimonies for the Church 7:140.

7. “Carry with you, wherever you go, a package of select tracts, which you can hand out “Let the leaflets and tracts, the papers and books, go in every direction.” —The Review and Herald, June 10, 1880.

8. "The results of the circulation of this book are not to be judged by what now appears. By reading it, some souls will be aroused, and will have courage to unite themselves at once with those who keep the commandments of God. But a much larger number who read it will not take their position until they see the very events taking place that are foretold in it. 10. Jesus said “The seed is the word of God.” Luke 8:11. Every tract, leaflet, card and book you share with another person is a seed sown for Jesus. What will the result be? Jesus says that some of the tracts and leaflets and books will result in nobody being saved in His kingdom. But He also says that each tract, each leaflet, each book may result in a big “crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.” That is why He wants us to distribute them like the leaves of autumn.

ONE MAN, ONE MILLION, ONE YEAR!

Let the common people in the congregation help them but I am the chief and run the show. I have important work to do and have no time to pass out literature. It’s not my thing.” God is calling you and me to “be zealous and repent.” Listen to His still small voice urging you to get involved doing the very work He has called “every believer” to accomplish.

"Be Zealous," - Sacrifice for Others! - "May the Lord open your eyes to see and your heart to feel, and cause you to manifest Christian zeal. Oh, how few feel the worth of souls! How few are willing to sacrifice to bring souls to the knowledge of Christ! There is much talking, much professed love for perishing souls; but talk is cheap stuff. It is earnest Christian zeal that is wanted—a zeal that will be manifested by doing something. All must now work for themselves, and when they have Jesus in their hearts they will confess Him to others. PLANT NOW, REAP LATER - Plant an acorn today and go out tomorrow and look for your oak tree and you may be disappointed. Oak trees take years to grow. God’s Spirit will work on the hearts of those who receive the seed, the tracts that are “planted” in their hearts. People will see the predictions that the tracts and books foretell actually happen. At that time, God will lead these souls into His church just as He led Lot out of Sodom before He destroyed that wicked city.

THE GREATEST IMPACT of these tracts is not what happens today or tomorrow, but rather, what happens when the events they predict actually happen. It takes years to turn a tiny acorn into a mighty oak tree and it will take time to see the results of this tract ministry.

ONE TRACT CAN WIN 100 PEOPLE TO LIVE A FOREVER LIFE OF JOY! - We will never know the results of faithfully sowing God's seed until the harvest, the second coming of Christ. Matthew 13:39-43. WORK NOW! -- SOON IT WILL BE FOREVER "TOO LATE!!" - Very soon, the night of Revelation 16 will descend upon the earth and it will be forever too late to rescue sinners for Jesus. He took the punishment our sins deserve so that we might share the life He deserves! Revelation 3:21. He calls us to serve Him in the way He has laid out for "Every Believer." BE GOD'S HANDS AND FEET AND MOUTH TODAY! - We are God’s hands, feet, and mouth in this world. I realize that distributing tracts and books is not "comfortable" for many people. Lukewarm is comfortable. Read Revelation 3:14-22 and you will see that God commands us to repent and leave our comfort zone. The final crisis is at the doors and God is calling you and me to do our part in saving a lost world.

It is time to become "clean" and "holy." It is time to ask Jesus to wash away our sins and to believe He does because of His promises to do so. His word promises, "The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin." His word promises, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Now is the time to seek the Lord with the whole heart. Now is the time for "every believer" to accept God's last call for "every believer" to "repent" and to cooperate with God and His angels in doing the very work He has been calling us to do for "many years." 1 John 1:7-9.

THE WORK OF EVERY BELIEVER - Christ only expects “every believer” to “scatter tracts and leaflets and books containing the message for this time.” If you are a minister “believer,” God expects you to carry tracts with you and hand them out. BORN AGAIN
Jesus explain how to achieve “A LIFE OF ALL POWER!” Jesus said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. You must be born again.” John 3:3, 7. Millions of professed believers don't understand how to achieve “A LIFE OF ALL POWER” because they do not understand what Jesus actually meant when He said, “unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. You must be born again.” Many cry out HOW? – “How can I be "born again?" Do I get “born again” by attending a particular church? Do I get “born again” when I listen to a sermon or read a sentence from a holy book? Do I get “born again” by joining a study group or by being baptized? No you can do all those things and not have “A LIFE OF ALL POWER!” The New Birth is not an option. No one is really a real Christian without it. Christ closed His first sermon with the words, "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name: And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness! Matthew 7:21-23. Only those who are truly "born again" have the living power of Christ working in their lives. One chapter in a book I like on the New Birth is chapter six of Steps to Christ. HOW CAN I BE BORN AGAIN? - Several years ago, I became a believer at the age of nineteen. I gave my heart to Jesus when someone taught me the great prophecies of Daniel and Revelation. Those prophecies convinced me that Jesus was real and loved me. I chose to serve him, graduated from a Christian college and became a Literature Evangelist. However, I did not understand HOW to be “born again” until I read chapter six in that wonderful book on salvation, “Steps to Christ.” At a rally of Literature Evangelists and Publishing leaders, I spoke to each of the publishing leaders. I said, “Please take the chapter “Faith and Acceptance, chapter six, from Steps to Christ and retitle it “HOW TO BE BORN AGAIN.” They did it and sold in tract form for many years. It is still available. Consider purchasing some of these “HOW TO BE BORN AGAIN tracts for friends and neighbors from the A.B.C. Here is, briefly, what I discovered!

GOD'S PROMISES TO GIVE YOU THE GIFT OF THE NEW BIRTH - The author of Steps to Christ quotes a number of God’s promises. God has actually placed His Divine Power in His promises and that is why God calls His promises, “exceedingly great and precious promises.” It is through these very seeds, these very promises that God gives us His gift of everlasting life. It is in His promises that Christ gives us “A LIFE OF ALL POWER!” Christ says through His Word that He has “given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” 2 Peter 1:4. Notice God actually gives you His Divine nature through His promises. His promises are the power that drives the Christians’ life to victory over “the corruption that is in the world through lust." We “escape” sin and death through His “exceedingly great and precious promises.

HIS PROMISES ARE "EXCEEDINGLY GREAT" - We become born again through God’s “exceedingly great and precious promises. In chapter six of Steps to Christ, you will read three of God's "exceedingly great and precious promises"(1) “God offers it to you as a gift, ‘without money and without price.’ Isaiah 55:1. It is yours if you will but reach out your hand and grasp it. (2) The Lord says, ‘Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.’ Isaiah 1:18. (3) ‘A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you.’ Ezekiel 36:26.” Steps to Christ, page 49. Numbers added for clarity. Simply confess your sins, give yourself to God, believe the promise and “You are born into the family of God” Ask Jesus for this new heart based on these very promises that God makes to you.

"IT IS SO, IF YOU BELIEVE IT!" - Again we read, “You are a sinner. You cannot atone for your past sins; you cannot change your heart and make yourself holy. But God promises to do all this for you through Christ. You believe that promise. You confess your sins and give yourself to God. You will to serve Him. Just as surely as you do this, God will fulfill His word to you. If you believe the promise,--believe that you are forgiven and cleansed,--God supplies the fact; you are made whole, just as Christ gave the paralytic power to walk when the man believed that he was healed. It is so if you believe it. Do not wait to feel that you are made whole, but say, "I believe it; it is so, not because I feel it, but because God has promised." Steps to Christ, page 51.

"YOU ARE AS A CHILD BORN INTO THE FAMILY OF GOD" - “Through this simple act of believing God, the Holy Spirit has begotten a new life in your heart. You are as a child born into the family of God, and He loves you as He loves His Son. Now that you have given yourself to Jesus, do not draw back, do not take yourself away from Him, but day by day say, ‘I am Christ's; I have given myself to Him;’ and ask Him to give you His Spirit and keep you by His grace. As it is by giving yourself to God, and believing Him, that you become His child, so you are to live in Him. The apostle says, ‘As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him. Colossians 2:6.” Steps to Christ, page 52. Congratulations! If you just confessed your sins to God and believe that He forgives and cleanses you right now, at this very moment, because of His promise, you are “born again” into God’s family as His child.

TWELVE GIFTS (OF A VAST MULTITUDE) THAT CHRIST GIVES YOU WHEN YOU CHOOSE TO BELIEVE HIS "EXCEEDINGLY GREAT AND PRECIOUS PROMISES!" (2 Peter 1:4)

· Forgiveness of our sins and a clean heart!. 1 John 1:7-9; Ezekiel 36:26.

· His presence and His answers to our questions and our needs! Jeremiah 33:3; Matthew 7:7.

· His Spirit and Power. Luke 11:13; Acts 1:8; 6:8.

· Victory over sin and death – an everlasting life of joy and power! 1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17.

· His companionship! Revelation 21:3.

· Pleasures forevermore.” Psalm 16:11.

· Everlasting victory over sickness, death, hunger, and thirst! Revelation 21:4; 22:3; 7:16; Isaiah 33:24; 65:23.

· Eternal victory over physical disabilities such as deafness, blindness and paralysis! Isaiah 35:5, 6; Philippians 3:21.

· Eternal victory over all violence! Isaiah 60:18.

· Eternal victory over loneliness! 1 Corinthians 13:12.

· Eternal victory over homelessness and poverty! John 14:1-3; Revelation 3:21. We will build house and plant gardens. Isaiah 65:22, 22.

· Eternal strength, speed, and power equal to “angels of God in heaven. Matthew 22:30.

These are but just a very few of the thousands of gifts Christ gives us when we choose to receive Christ's gift of “A LIFE OF ALL POWER.”

(4.) ABIDE IN CHRIST THROUGH SPENDING TIME WITH GOD IN THE POWER OF PRAYER AND IN GOD'S PROMISES! - It is vital that we personally know Jesus and are “born again.” We, then, have a real purpose in life to share the wonderful truths that have changed our lives. Jesus says, "You must be born again." (John 3:7) and "abide in Me" (John 15:1-10). You must trust His promises and depend on them to give you the power to obey and serve Him. God's Word look small, like a mustard seed, but it is through His "small" Word that God created the Universe (see John 1, Colossians 1, and Hebrews 1). In addition, God recreates everyone who received and believes His Word, His "exceedingly great and precious promises" as presented in the Bible, the tracts, and the books.

TAKE THE POWER OF CHRIST - Jesus says, “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world,” “The seed is the word of God.” Matthew 13:27, 38; Luke 8:11. “The same power that Christ exercised when He walked visibly among men is in His word. It was by His word that Jesus healed disease and cast out demons; by His word, He stilled the sea and raised the dead, and the people bore witness that His word was with power. He spoke the word of God, as He had spoken to all the prophets and teachers of the Old Testament. The whole Bible is a manifestation of Christ.” Ministry of Healing page 122.

(5.) HUNGER, THIRST, TALK, AND PRAY FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT! God promises us to give us His Spirit to help us be ready and prepare others to be ready for both the crisis that is coming upon Planet Earth and the second coming of Christ which will follow that crisis. “And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved." Joel 2:28, 29, 32.

RECEIVE POWER! - "Wherever the need of the Holy Spirit is a matter little thought of, there is seen spiritual drought, spiritual darkness, spiritual declension and death. Whenever minor matters occupy the attention, the divine power which is necessary for the growth and prosperity of the church, and which would bring all other blessings in its train, is lacking, though offered in infinite plenitude.” “Since this is the means by which we are to receive power, why do we not hunger and thirst for the gift of the Spirit? Why do we not talk of it, pray for it, and preach concerning it?” Acts of the Apostles page 50.

6.)   PRAY DAILY WITH A PRAYER PARTNER! - Mark 6:7; Matthew 7:7
CHRIST SENT HIS DISCIPLES "OUT TWO BY TWO" - Christ sent His disciples out two by two. Therefore we find a prayer partner or partners

Christ, says, "If two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:19-20. Christ sent His disciples out two by two. "And He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out two by two." Mark 6:7. “Why do not two or three meet together and plead with God for the salvation of some special one, and then for still another? . . . The formation of small companies as a basis of Christian effort has been presented to me by One who cannot err.” – Testimonies vol. 7 page 21. The word basis is a synonym for FOUNDATION.

It is essential that “every believer” have a partner that he or she can pray with daily. Often, because of distance the telephone is a wonderful way to pray together about the people, whose lives you have touched or will touch that day. Repeat God’s “exceedingly great and precious promises as you pray for the Holy Spirit. Ask Christ to fill your own life with His Spirit, the lives of your family, and those you meet that day.

(7.) "GO" EXERCISE YOUR FAITH! DISTRIBUTE TRACTS WHEREVER YOU GO.

GOD WILL USE YOU TO IMPART "COURAGE, FAITH, AND ENERGY" TO OTHERS - As you share God's promises and plan of salvation through tracts and books you are imparting God's "courage, faith . . . and energy" into the lives of those who read, accept, and believe His word, His promises. God has placed His power in His Word, His promises. Therefore only those who are born again through God’s “exceedingly great and precious promises” are able to “keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.” Revelation 14:12. The secret of true repentance and obedience to Christ only comes to those who have been “born again” and “abide in” Christ. John 3:3 and 15:4. Christ says, "Abide in Me." We must maintain a close union with Christ through prayer and memorizing God’s promises, one promise at a time. (Bible Study) See - Steps to Christ, pages 67 - 76

TAKE ONE DAY AT A TIME! -  “Consecrate yourself to God in the morning; make this your very first work. Let your prayer be, ‘Take me, O Lord, as wholly Thine. I lay all my plans at Thy feet. Use me today in Thy service. Abide with me, and let all my work be wrought in Thee.’ This is a daily matter. Each morning consecrate yourself to God for that day. Surrender all your plans to Him, to be carried out or given up as His providence shall indicate. Thus day by day you may be giving your life into the hands of God, and thus your life will be molded more and more after the life of Christ.” Steps to Christ, page 70.

PRAY "SILENT PRAYERS" OFTEN! - Uplift your heart to Christ all through the day in silent prayer. “Pray in your closet, and as you go about your daily labor let your heart be often uplifted to God. It was thus that Enoch walked with God. These silent prayers rise like precious incense before the throne of grace. Satan cannot overcome him whose heart is thus stayed upon God.“ Steps to Christ, page 98.

One day a friend of mine was walking along the beach and noticed a boy. He picked something up and threw into the ocean. My friend walked over to the boy and asked, “What are you doing?” The boy said, “I’m throwing starfish back into the ocean. The tide is going out and if I don’t throw them back, they’ll die.” My friend looked at the thousands of starfish and said “Don’t you realize there are many miles of beach and thousands of starfish? You can’t make a difference! The boy listened, bent over, picked up another starfish, and threw it back into the ocean. He, then, smiling at my friend and said “I made a difference for that one.”
In “Seven Steps to a Life of All Power,” we will examine seven things God tells us we should do so that we might have “A Life of All Power!   How can we be “healthy” Christians? First we must find out whether we are “healthy” or not. When we go to the doctor’s office, what does the nurse stick in our mouths? She puts a thermometer in our mouths to check our temperature to determine whether we are healthy or sick. In like manner, God checks your spiritual temperature to see if you are sick or healthy. His thermometer, however, has only three readings. They are Hot, Cold, and Lukewarm. The only Spiritual temperature of these three that Christ accepts in the judgment is “HOT.” Both “COLD” and “LUKEWARM” are bad, but “lukewarm” is the worst! Christ speaks to the seventh and last of the church periods or Revelation chapters two and three in Revelation 3:14-21. His counsel in these verses tell us how to “repent” from our mediocre lives and “Live A Life Of All Power!”

He says, ”I counsel you to BUY from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.”   Christ speaks several action verbs. He tells us to “Buy,” Anoint,” “Be Zealous,” “Repent,” hear His voice, open the door,” “dine” with Him, “overcome,” and “sit” with Him on His “throne.” In other words, if we wish to one day “dine” with Jesus and sit with Him on His throne living “A LIFE OF ALL POWER,” we must “Buy” His gold, Anoint our eyes,” “Be Zealous,” “Repent,” hear His voice, and open the door!”   How do we do that?

In Revelation 3:18 Jesus says “I counsel you to BUY from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich “ You see, whenever you “buy” something, you have to "spend" something. He says, "BUY from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments.” What must we spend in order to buy His gold and white garments of faith and love? One author says it like this, “It would be well for us to SPEND a thoughtful hour each day in contemplation of the life of Christ. We should take it point by point, and let the imagination grasp each scene, especially the closing ones. As we thus dwell upon His great sacrifice for us, our confidence in Him will be more constant, our love will be quickened, and we shall be more deeply imbued with His spirit. If we would be saved at last, we must learn the lesson of penitence and humiliation at the foot of the cross.”
The Desire of Ages, page 83. As a result of this wonderful advice I am seeking to follow it and also have started a class in the church I attend called "The Life of Christ, Point by Point."
HOW TO HAVE GOD'S POWER, "COURAGE, FAITH AND ENERGY!" “So with all the promises of God's word. In them, He is speaking to us individually, speaking as directly as if we could listen to His voice. It is in these promises that Christ communicates to us His grace and power. . . . Nothing else can have such healing power. Nothing besides can impart the courage and faith which give vital energy to the whole being.” Ibid. TALK ABOUT “A LIFE OF ALL POWER!” This is how it happens! We are "born again" through God's "exceedingly great and precious promises" and we live victorious lives daily by memorizing and claiming God's "exceedingly great and precious promises." They are our source of "courage, faith . . . and energy." They are the very power of God working in our lives that we "may be partakers of the divine nature" and "escape" "the corruption that is in the world through lust." 2 Peter 1:4. ith Me on My Throne.”    Revelation 3:14-21.

Let’s examine Christ’s method of changing our mediocre lives into “Lives of All Power!” Christ speaks to Modern Christianity (YOU AND ME) about our Spiritual health. He tells us that He wants us to be repent and become “HOT” “ZEALOUS Christians. He says, 1- “You Are Lukewarm!” 2 -“You Say ‘I Am Rich And Have Need Of Nothing.'” 3 - “You Do Not Know That You Are . . . Poor, Blind, And Naked." 4 - “Buy From Me Gold . . . That You May Be Rich; And White Garments, That You May Be Clothed!" 5 - “Be Zealous And Repent. 6 – “If Anyone Hears My Voice And Opens The Door, I Will Come In To Him And Dine With Him, And He With Me.” 7 - “To Him Who Overcomes I Will Grant To Sit With Me On My Throne.” Revelation 3:14-21

(1.) LEARN YOUR SPIRITUAL TEMPERATURE! Revelation 3:14-21.

HOT, COLD, LUKEWARM - Now, just prior to His second coming, Christ is calling “every believer” to carry His last message to "every nation, tribe, tongue and people . . . with a LOUD VOICE!" (Revelation 14:6-7). The fact that God’s last warning message goes with a “loud voice,” suggests that God will speak through Christians who are both physically and spiritually healthy. Watch healthy children at play. It is the ones who are robust and healthy who play with energy and “a loud voice.” In order for a Christian to have physical health he, or she, must eat a balanced diet and live a balanced life which includes appropriate amounts of rest and exercise.

In “Seven Steps to a Life of All Power,” also known as “Seven Secrets of a Life of All Power,” we will examine seven things God tells us we should do so that we might have “A Life of All Power!

CHRIST SPEAKS TO MODERN CHRISTIANS - Christ speaks to Modern Christianity (YOU AND ME) about our Spiritual health. He tells us that He wants us to be repent and become “HOT” “ZEALOUS Christians.

He says:

1- “You Are Lukewarm!”

2- “You Say ‘I Am Rich And Have Need Of Nothing.'”

3- “You Do Not Know That You Are . . . Poor, Blind, And Naked."

4- “Buy From Me Gold . . . That You May Be Rich; And White Garments, That You May Be Clothed!"

5- “Be Zealous And Repent.

6- “If Anyone Hears My Voice And Opens The Door, I Will Come In To Him And Dine With Him, And He With Me.”

7- “To Him Who Overcomes I Will Grant To Sit With Me On My Throne.” Revelation 3:14-21.
