31 - Paradise At Last!

In the new Earth, Jesus Christ leads His family to springs of living waters. The tree of life produces its fruit every month, and the leaves of the tree are for everyone's well being, making sure to prevent all illness. The streams are clear, and pure and never dry up Nature is more beautiful than ever, with no more deserts and no more weeds and bloodsucking insects, and mean wild animals. The animal kingdom is at peace. There is supreme beauty, prepared as a gift for those Our Lord rescued. The flower-covered plains rise into hills and mountains with majestic peaks of great beauty. It is among all this beauty that God makes a home for His children.

"My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest." "No longer will violence be heard in your land." "They will build houses" and live "in them."  "They will plant vineyards and eat their fruit."

"No longer will they build houses and others live in them or plant and others eat . . . My chosen ones will long enjoy the work of their hands." Isaiah 32:18; 60:18; 65:21, 22.

There, wilderness and the solitary place will be glad for them. "The desert will rejoice, and blossom as the rose." "Instead of the thornbush will grow the pine tree and instead of briers the myrtle will grow." "The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together and a little child will lead them.  They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain." Isaiah 35:1 KJV; 55:13; 11:6, 9.

Pain will never be felt again. No one will ever cry again. No graveyards will ever exist again anywhere. "There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." "No one will say, I am ill and the sins of those who live there will be forgiven."

"God's home is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people and God himself will be with them and be their God." Revelation 21:4; Isaiah 33:24; Revelation 21:3.

In the City of God "there will be no night." No one will need or want sleep. No one will be tired in doing God's will and praising Him. No one will need to go to the emergency room, the hospital, or the drug store. Instead we will all eat from the Tree of Life with its twelve different types of fruit and we will eat its leaves as preventive medicine. "The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations."  Revelation 22:2.

We notice something different! We are always feeling so full of enthusiasm. We are always feeling great--as fresh as a bright summer morning. "They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light." The light of the world is now our sun in the sky. Then God will be the light of the world and His brightness will be far brighter than the sun. The light from God the Father and from Christ does not go out. It floods the Holy City with unfading daylight. The redeemed walk in the sunless glory of endless day. Revelation 22:5.

The one thing we find so overwhelming is the fact that we now have the honor and joy of talking to God face to face. We will never be lonely again. Life, now, is just one wonderful adventure! We learn new things every day. It's all new to us, and we are having so much fun discovering worlds upon worlds that we knew nothing about when we lived on Planet Earth. It is thrilling being taught by Jesus about His universe and exploring it with angels and prophets and apostles that we once only read about in the Bible.  It is far better than my wildest dreams!

Everybody treats each other with kindness, cooperation, and love. We are all part of the same family now. We are all God's redeemed children forever and ever!

"I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple." "Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known."  Revelation 21:22; 1 Corinthians 13:12.

On earth we saw just a reflection of God in His creation of nature and in His dealings with men. However, now we see Him "face to face." We stand in His presence and see the glory of His face. God is so happy to see how happy He has made us. We know everyone by name. Adam, Eve, Moses, Elijah, Peter, Paul, and Mary are all family. "The whole family in heaven and earth" will be united. Ephesians 3:15.

Not only are we growing larger physically: We are constantly learning new things, and our bodies and minds are never tired. We have boundless energy!

Each day is a new adventure!  We are constantly reaching out for what once was "the impossible dream" We discover that now all our "impossible dreams" are not only possible, but we are actually reaching our dreams and our highest hopes. And the travel through space is so exhilarating! Wouldn't even superman be jealous!

In our journeys to these worlds--worlds upon worlds of unfallen beings--we find complete openness.  They are not proud and arrogant. They share their treasures of knowledge and understanding they have gained through ages upon ages in contemplation of God's handiwork. Love, reverence, and happiness increase moment by moment and year after year.  We in turn share with them how merciful God was and is to us.

"Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing. To him who sits on the throne and to the lamb be praise and honor and glory and power for ever and ever." Revelation 5:13
